Our Team

Karen Farris

Karen is a dedicated educator with more than 16 years of experience in South Carolina public schools. She is currently serving as a long-term substitute in the Fort Mill School District. Her professional background includes curriculum development, classroom management, and engaging learners from kindergarten through seventh grade, with service across multiple districts and roles.

Karen brings both professional expertise and deep-rooted community connections to her work as a Clover LEAF Board member. A lifelong member of the Clover community, she is raising her family locally and remains actively involved in district life through athletics, fine arts, and church service. She serves as treasurer of the CHS Athletic Booser Club and as a member of the Choral Booster Club, where her husband, Chris, serves as president. Her long-standing commitment to education, combined with her personal investment in Clover schools, reflects a strong passion for supporting Clover LEAF’s mission and strengthening the Clover School District for future generations. Karen earned her B.S. Early Childhood Education, Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC and holds a South Carolina Board of Education, Professional Certificate as a Highly Qualified teacher.

Kyle Eller

As owner of Capstone Accounting and Advisory Group and in-house CPA and broker with NewLeaf Brokerage, Kyle has firsthand experience navigating the complexities of buying and selling businesses, including the purchase of his own CPA firm specializing in tax planning and CFO advisory services. With a financial background enriched by roles in accounting, nonprofit leadership, and finance, he leverages his diverse skill set to guide clients through the intricacies of business transactions. Kyle earned bachelor's degrees in Cell Biology and Mathematics from Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Ala.) and a master’s degree in management from Faulkner University (Montgomery, Ala.). 

Beyond his professional life, Kyle is deeply engaged in his community. In addition to his service with Clover LEAF, where he is past president, Kyle participates in citizen advocacy committees and is active in local politics. In his spare time, he coaches youth baseball, plays pickleball, and enjoys life as a dedicated father and husband.

Marty Cotton

Marty is proud of his three children - all graduates of the Clover School District. He has over twenty years as a Marketing and Business Development Director for Architectural and Engineering companies. Marty is responsible for creating and executing business development strategies, tactical plans, and processes to increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish other objectives. He earned his MBA from Thunderbird - The American Graduate School of International Management. He also has a B.A. from Oklahoma State University. 

Marty has always been committed to the support of education and finds his work for the Clover LEAF rewarding. 

In addition to his work with the Foundation, Marty volunteers with the Clover Rotary Club, the Clover Economic Development Board, and has served on the Clemson Family Advisory Board for almost a decade.

Dr. Catherine Myrick

Dr. Catherine Myrick is a general dentist in Clover, where she has practiced for nearly 20 years after taking over her father’s dental practice. She is a graduate of Clover High School, Clemson University, Winthrop University, and the Medical University of South Carolina. Before pursuing dentistry, she taught multiple courses at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, SC. 

Catherine is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. In 2020, she earned Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, followed by her Mastership in 2022. She is also an alumna of the Dawson Academy and the Pankey Institute of Dentistry, and she maintains active membership in the American Equilibration Society and the South Carolina Dental Association. 

Beyond her practice, Catherine is dedicated to leadership and service. She mentors high school students through the South Carolina Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership program, is a proud member of the Clover Rotary Club, and currently serves as Vice President of Grants for CloverLEAF.

Windy Bartee

Windy has seen the growth and expansion impact of the program since helping found Clover LEAF forty years ago. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duke University and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. A former educator, Windy served for 24 years on the Clover School Board. She and her husband Ted raised four boys (who attended Clover Schools) on their Angus farm, Tumble T Bar T. In addition to Clover LEAF, Windy volunteers with a number of nonprofit organizations in the area such as the Clover Woman’s Club. In the past, she was secretary for the SC Angus Association. She and Ted also served as the advisors for the South Carolina Junior Angus Association.

Alexis Ellis

Alexis Ellis serves as Tax Manager for Comporium, Inc., bringing strong financial expertise and a commitment to responsible stewardship to both her professional and volunteer roles. A graduate of Winthrop University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, as well as an MBA with an accounting emphasis. Deeply engaged in community service, she currently serves as Board Chair of Keystone Substance Abuse Services, is a past Treasurer for that organization, and serves as Treasurer for Clover LEAF. Her involvement with Clover LEAF reflects a genuine passion for the Clover School District and a desire to see it continue to grow and excel, and she especially values the organization’s teacher grants and the opportunity to see students benefit from innovative ideas brought to life in the classroom.

Ashley Worrell Bogert, J.D. 

Ashley has been an attorney in the Charlotte area since 2012 and a partner with Morton & Gettys. She is also a licensed real estate broker, a credential that enables her to offer her real estate clients a broad array of perspectives they often need. 

Ashley is a graduate of the Charlotte School of Law and the University of Virginia, where she majored in government and sociology, and also studied abroad for a summer at the University of Westminster in London. Ashley is an avid University of Virginia sports fan and served as the President of the University of Virginia Club of Charlotte from 2014-2016.

Frederic Campbell  

Frederic Campbell is a proud 1987 graduate of Clover High School and a lifelong supporter of the Clover community. With a deep commitment to educational excellence, he has faithfully served on the Clover Leaf Board for five years, helping guide efforts that provide essential funding and resources to teachers across the district. His passion for supporting educators is reflected through his service as an educator in the state of South Carolina for over thirty years, both as a teacher and coach. 

Beyond his work in education, Frederic is an active and dedicated community leader. He serves as a Deacon at Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he contributes to the spiritual growth and outreach efforts of the congregation. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and currently serves as President of the United Men’s Club of Clover, working to strengthen fellowship and service initiatives within the community. 

Frederic is a Life Member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), demonstrating his longstanding commitment to equity and justice. He is also the Founding Mentor for Brothers United for Change in Clover, SC, where he has helped guide and inspire young men toward leadership, responsibility, and positive community engagement. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Roosevelt Community Watch, supporting efforts to maintain safety and unity within the Roosevelt neighborhood and the city of Clover. 

Through his service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to Clover, Frederic continues to invest in the success of students, families, and the broader community.

Kimberly Cauble  

Cauble is currently a 6th grade ELA teacher at Oakridge Middle School but planning on retiring from public school system at the end of the 25-26 school year after 28 years of teaching (25 in Clover). Cauble is also a professional photographer, specializing in wedding and portrait photography, and she plans to focus on it as a second career following retirement from the classroom. Cauble has two sons who attend school in the Clover School District, and she has been a Clover LEAF grant recipient twice. She looks forward to continuing to have an impact in the Clover School District and supporting teachers through Clover LEAF after she retires.

Sherri Ciurlik  

Sherri has been a member of Cloverleaf since the early 2000’s. With a passion for education and volunteerism Sherri, served on the Clover School Board for twelve years and continues to work with students at the Stellie J. Jackson Enrichment Center and is a member of the River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club.

Tim Conley 

Conley oversees the operations of 3 YMCA's and the YMCAs partnerships with Rock Hill School District and Clover School District. He also oversees the operations of the YMCA's 500 athlete swim team, RAYS. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Lake Wylie and serves as an ambassador for the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce. 

Conley grew up in Philadelphia and moved to SC to pursue a career in coaching swimming at a YMCA in Spartanburg. After several great years there, he moved to Rock Hill to accept a position with the YMCA. He and his wife Katie have three children 

and live in Rock Hill. Conley is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a BA in Accounting. 

Conley believe in the Clover LEAF mission of providing support in the pursuit of education excellence in this community, as he believes a strong school district is the root system of a strong community.

Jocelyn Gordon

Dr. Jocelyn Gordon is a native of Rock Hill, SC. She is an educator with over 22 years of experience in the classroom and educational leadership. She is an Innovation and Content Integration Science Specialist with Clover School District Two in Clover, SC. Dr. Gordon earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Winthrop University, a Master of Biological Science from Clemson University, her Ph.D. in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University, and her administration certification from Lamar University. Her certifications in educational leadership and STEM integration underscore her expertise and commitment to advancing educational practices in her community and beyond. 

Curriculum Specialist | Clover School District

Jackie B. Hicks

Jackie B. Hicks served as Clover LEAF President for six years while expanding communications, fundraising activities and teacher grants for educators in the Clover School District. With a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in school administration, both from Winthrop University, Jackie has been a mathematics teacher at both Clover High School and Clover Middle for over 28 years. Jackie was elected by fellow South Carolina teachers to serve for six years as President of the South Carolina Education Association. She has also served as president of the York County Education Association. 

Jackie served as the South Carolina Commissioner on the Commission on National and Community Service, on America's Association of State Service Commissions, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). She was treasurer of America’s Association of Service Commissions, was a Transition Team Member for the State Superintendent of Education and was a Kellogg’s Grant Design Team Member for Commission Leadership. The National Association of Professional Women honored Jackie with 2014-2015 VIP Woman of the Year for outstanding excellence and dedication to her profession and the achievement of women. 

She has been a member of the American Association of University Women, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the South Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics and South Carolina Leaders of Mathematics Education. Jackie is continuing her community work as a director on Clover LEAF and serving as President of Clover Woman’s Club, that gives scholarships to CHS graduates. 

Teacher and Educational Leader (Retired)

Terry Hilderbrand

Terry Hilderbrand graduated from Clover High School in 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1970. He subsequently completed a Master of Science in Systems Engineering at Clemson University in 1979. Mr. Hilderbrand’s military career included assignments in Germany, Korea, and various locations across the United States. After 21 years of active service, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. 

Following his military retirement, Mr. Hilderbrand joined the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) as a Senior Research Engineer. In this role, he managed software development teams focused on applied research and development in mission planning and decision support systems. He concluded his professional career in 2014, retiring after 23 years with GTRI. 

Mr. Hilderbrand is married to the former Ginger King of York. They are especially proud of their sons, Neil and Matt, both of whom have pursued careers in the United States Army.

Dr. Stephanie Hunter

Dr. Stephanie G. Hunter, DSW, LMSW, is the Director of the Bachelor of Social Work Program and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina College of Social Work. In addition to her professional work as a social work educator and practitioner, she is actively involved in the Clover community as a parent, volunteer, and leader of her church. Her daughter has been part of the Clover School District since Pre-K and is now in high school, and Dr. Hunter over the years has served in nearly every capacity within the PTO, demonstrating her long-standing commitment to supporting teachers, 

students, and their families. She brings both her professional expertise and her community-centered perspective to her role on the Clover Leaf Foundation Board.

Stephanie Knott

Stephanie joined the Clover School District nearly four years ago as Director of Marketing and was promoted to Public Information Officer in 2024. She leads the Communications and Community Engagement team and is responsible for all marketing and communications initiatives. She has served in leadership roles in numerous school districts on the Eastern seaboard in her 30+year career. Stephanie earned degrees from Marshall University and UNC-Charlotte.

Tracy Latham

Tracy Latham is currently the visionary force behind Lake Wylie's MedSpa, Rejuvenate at Lake Wylie. She and her husband, Dr. Robert Latham opened this small local business in 2023, continuing their integration into the community. Dr & Mrs. Latham have been residing in the area since 1994, where they have lived, worked & raised five children in the Clover School District. 

Tracy has been working in the area, first at T-Bones as a server while attending nursing school and later working at the YMCA in Clover and Lake Wylie for 20 years while raising her children. She has seen and experienced the many facets of the area, seeing the struggles and opportunities of growth. One thing she believes remains constant, the need to invest in the future and the current systems, to keep the area the great place everyone is proud to live and raise their families.

Ginger Marr

After a 30-year career in higher education with Winthrop University and Queens University of Charlotte, Ginger joined the Clover School District as Director of Community Engagement in June 2025. In addition to serving as the liaison to Clover LEAF, she works with the Clover Schools Alumni Association, community partners, and parent organizations. 

Ginger serves on the Board of the Greater Clover Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Lake Wylie Rotary Club. She is a former Clover School Board member, where she volunteered for eight years. She is also a former member of the Bethany Elementary School PTO, the Choraliers Board, Athletics Booster Club, Touchdown Club, and Crosse Club. At Queens University of Charlotte, she was a member of Parents Council and the Athletics Advisory Board, and she chaired the Men’s Lacrosse parent organization, Parents of Royals (PRO). She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Winthrop University.

Penny McClure

For over 30 years, Penny has been enthusiastically involved in the Clover School District. She is a retired teacher, mentor, surrogate, and volunteer and has served as a featured speaker, Gifted and Talented teacher, and curriculum writer. She has a Master of Education + 30 and is listed in Who's Who Among American Teachers. 

Serving as deacon, she is also involved in numerous Community Church at Lake Wylie activities. Penny is the chair of the PEO scholarship committee (Philanthropic Educational Organization) and enjoys giving a scholarship to a Clover graduate annually. Being actively involved in the educational process of our youth has always been a priority in the McClure family and Penny is proud of her three daughters who are employed by the Clover and Ft. Mill school districts.

Ashley Mosbacher

Ashley Mosbacher is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University (GO Running Bulldogs!) and has dedicated the past six years to working in education. She currently serves as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant at Griggs Road Elementary School, where she is passionate about supporting young learners and fostering a positive classroom environment. 

Ashley is married to her college sweetheart and is the proud mother of three children who attend schools in the Clover School District. She has been an active member of the CloverLEAF Foundation for three years and has previously served in several service organizations, reflecting her strong commitment to community involvement. 

With a lifelong love of learning, Ashley enjoys growing both personally and professionally and believes in the importance of education at every stage of life. 

Instructional Assistant | Griggs Road Elementary School

Pam Olivieri

Pam Olivieri is an author, educator, and curriculum designer with extensive experience in literacy instruction for elementary students. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and is a National Board-Certified Teacher, credentials that reflect her dedication to excellence and continuous professional growth. She is also the founder of Rockin Resources, a company dedicated to creating engaging, standards-based ELA materials for teachers and homeschool families. 

Pam is an active contributor to the education community through professional development, mentorship, and advocacy for literacy instruction. She supports teachers nationwide through her online platforms and workshops focused on effective, research-based writing instruction. In addition, she partners with Rise Together International to promote engaging and equitable learning experiences for all students. 

Pam's children’s book, Pappy’s Butterfly: A Tale of Perseverance, will be part of a series that aligns with the author's craft strategies, life cycles, and a positive growth mindset. Her upcoming professional resource, Rock Your Writing Instruction: Transforming Reluctant Writers into Rockstar Writers, will be published through Dave Burgess Consulting in 2026. 

A former Teacher of the Year, Pam has been recognized for her commitment to excellence in education. Pam values the opportunity to give back to the district where 

she taught, as it is rewarding to see how teachers use the funds we provide to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences for their students 

Founder | Rockin' Resources

George Pendleton

George Pendleton brings extensive financial leadership and operational expertise to his role on the Clover LEAF Board of Directors. Since 2015, he has served as Procurement Director for the Clover School District, overseeing end-to-end procurement operations and managing a general fund budget of approximately $140 million. He works to streamline purchasing, secure competitive pricing, and ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources. In addition to managing special funds such as Vocational, Title I, and IDEA, he supports the district’s accounts payable and payroll functions to maintain strong financial integrity and efficiency across departments. 

George holds a Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management), and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from York Technical College. He is also a Certified School Business Official through the South Carolina School Business Officials Association. Prior to joining the district, George worked as a Consumer Lender with Clover Community Bank and served with Wells Fargo Bank as a Home Preservation Specialist and Personal Banker. His education, professional credentials, and broad financial background provide valuable insight and steady leadership in support of Clover LEAF’s mission.

Amy Rose

Amy Rose has been a proud member of the Clover/Lake Wylie community for more than 30 years. She is the mother of two daughters who graduated from Clover High School, and one now serves as an educator in the Clover School District—a connection that deepens Amy’s passion for supporting local schools. 

Her professional background includes over ten years combined as an Advertising Specialist with The Rock Hill Herald & The Charlotte Observer and more than 12 years as the Manager of Anytime Fitness in Lake Wylie. Amy now serves the community as a licensed South Carolina and North Carolina Realtor, using her deep local knowledge and strong network of relationships to help families plant roots in the area. 

Amy has witnessed the tremendous growth of Clover and Lake Wylie firsthand, giving her a unique understanding of the community’s needs, opportunities, and strengths. She has been honored to serve on the Clover LEAF Educational Foundation’s Communications and Gala Committee over the past year and looks forward to continuing to support the district, its educators, and its students.

Whitney Ruth

Whitney Ruth is a dedicated school professional who currently serves as a receptionist at Oakridge Middle School, where she supports students, families, and staff while helping ensure the smooth operation of the school office. Earlier in her career, she worked with the Olde English Consortium in an administrative role, gaining valuable experience supporting regional education initiatives. She also spent time working in human resources for Florence School District One and taught at both the middle and high school levels in Lake City, SC. 

Whitney earned her degree in Mass Communications from Francis Marion University and has remained closely connected to the world of education throughout her career. She is also deeply involved in her children’s school and extracurricular activities, enthusiastically supporting programs ranging from Choraliers to softball. Her commitment to students and school communities is reflected both in her professional work and in the active role she plays in encouraging and supporting young people.  

Oakridge Middle School

Dr. Bertrina Scott

Dr. Bertrina Scott is a native of Hollywood, SC and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the College of Charleston. She later went on to pursue her master’s degree in human development and early childhood Disorders and her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas. While there, her work was published and presented at various conferences that highlight issues in child and adolescent development. 

Bertrina has taught Psychology courses at several colleges and universities, including at The Ohio State University where she taught for 15 years and served on multiple committees. In 2019, Bertrina and her family relocated to Clover, bringing their business, Nanomeld Inc along with them. Bertrina manages human resources for Nanomeld and spearheads Project CLEER—a provider of high-quality HVAC filters—and their efforts to give back to Clover School District and other organizations.

Mike Ballard

Mike Ballard represents District 1 in the Clover School District and serves as the liaison to Clover LEAF. He is an educator with more than 30 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and trainer.

Dr. Sheila B. Quinn

Dr. Sheila Quinn has served as superintendent of the Clover School District since 2018. Dr. Quinn began her career as a teacher in the Rock Hill School District and served in a variety of roles as a teacher, administrator, and as deputy state superintendent for innovation and effectiveness at the South Carolina Department of Education before assuming her role in Clover.
